Losing Touch is a work that begins by frantically searching. The horn and electronics explore bombastic ideas in this search until ultimately the horn submits to the electronics, which trigger a falling into madness. This descent is accentuated by sinister moments in the electronics that persist until the end. Ultimately the work closes with the horn playing beautifully shaped lines that are accompanied by electronics that do not harmonically support these lines in any way. This level of insanity is the darkest as it demonstrates the most delusion and is therefore the most dangerous.
